Elijah #2

The West Virginia team arrived today.

All of the paper work and legal signatures are done for all the property so we can unify everything. That is so exciting.

Baptism was COLD but as always a great blessing.

Ahab and Jezebel, two of the most evil humans in history, ruled when Elijah was the prophet of Israel. But he had absolutely no fear of them or their false gods. Reading the book of James chapter 5 gives us the idea that he was one fiery bad tempered dude. I told you I identify with Elijah.

This great man was so human. He had a temper, fought depression, felt isolated and alone. God really does not need great spiritual giants to do His work. Aren’t you and I glad? As I tell many people whom after hearing my testimony and declaring that Dottie and I had great faith, it is all about obedience. Many times I have obeyed while shaking in my boots.

God does not sugar coat who we are. He does not sugar coat His servants in the Bible. He tells of Moses and his anger; Abraham and his lies; David and his adultery and Noah with his drunkenness. God tells it like it is. He is not looking for the rich, highly intelligent or world movers although He will use them. He is looking for ordinary obedient servants.
