Do a kindness

Today was the solar eclipse & so it took some doing to keep all of the younger children inside & not looking out the windows. We had a 28% eclipse.

It was a lazy day with Dottie & I mostly studying all day.

Walt & Randi’s sons began school today at Christian Academy.

I John 4:11 ”If God so loved us, we should love one another”.                                                                          I Corinthians 13:4 “Love is kind”.

We can love unattractive and unlovely people. We can see something attractive and good in all people. It is difficult to show love to people who do not attract us at all. In fact, we can obly love them when we have the love of God in our heart and we ask God to help us to love them.

Jesus showed unconditional love to so many unattractive people. Just think of Judas as well as the thief on the cross. In fact, He loved them so much He died for them. He loves you and me so much that He died for us also.

As the scripture above reads we can do something KIND for people we are not attracted to. Sometimes even the smallest kindness reaps a great reward.

To reverse this I want you to read what happened to me. There was a boy in my Bible class in Lafayette that was obnoxious. One day he asked if I would drive him to the other side of the side to his home. I did it but had a bad attitude. After doing that for a while I discovered he was no longer obnoxious to me.

When you do something kind for a person they will be changed but you will be changed more. Ask God to help you to show a kindness to one who is not your favorite.
