Container Race

These 40 foot long containers arrived on the same day. We used to get thousands of pounds of supplies. We would divide the children into groups, and they would see who could unload their container first.

We brought in tons of food, clothes, shoes as well as plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, welding supplies, refrigerators, stoves, commercial clothes washers and driers, commodes, lumber and Christmas gifts.

These containers were shipped by sea usually from Gulf Port. Churches would help gather the supplies and load them. It really does take a village.

The Oklahoma team arrived yesterday. (Wednesday)

One of our children had surgery today. Pray for a quick recovery.

Carolyn has made a large difference in Dottie´s daily life with therapy and a joyful attitude.

Kindness in the Bible encourages Christians to show compassion, forgive unconditionally, and extend grace even to our enemies. Ephesians 4:32 says “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

John 14:5-6 says, “Thomas saith unto the Lord, we know not whither thou goes and how can we know the way? Jesus said unto him. I am the WAY the Truth and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” This is only one of three places apart from a listing of the twelve disciples that Thomas speaks. (John 11:16; 20:24-29).

Thomas was puzzled by Jesus´s statement that He would soon leave the disciples soon after His death, resurrection and ascension. (John 14:1-4.) Thomas was wanting to know what the disciples were to do after He left. This is specifically to us to not look at the circumstances about heaven and keep our eyes only on the WAY.
