My home town

Every morning from ages 10 to 15 I got out of bed at 2:30am and rode my bike to the railroad station. Five different news papers from Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Alexandria, Opelousas and Ville Platt were thrown from the train. I delivered until 7am then returned home, ate breakfast and went to school. This foto was taken 6 years ago so they have kept it in working order. I miss my hometown.

Pastor Dave
Pastor David has lost so much weight. He looks great. He and Mama Gina are going to come visit Casa and I can hardly wait.
They were here as dorm parents for 17 years. I remember the day he called me to the dorm. When I walked in he was crying so I asked him what was wrong. He had gone to the USA for a month and when he returned, he told me “My grandchildren do not know who I am.”
It broke my heart because Dottie and I have felt that way for years. It will be wonderful to see them. I think the most important decision missionaries need to make is leaving family behind. To tell you that we miss out children, grandchildren and eve great grandchildren would be the understatement of the year. But my children are saved and heaven will be precious.
LIGHT is the next name of Jesus as found in John 1:6-7. “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came to bear witness of the LIGHT, that all men through Him might believe.” Jesus was the LIGHT whom God sent into a world stumbling around in the darkness of sin. Remember in Genesis 1:3 God declared “Let there be light.” Light is something we take for granted until it disappears. We grope around in darkness when there is no light. We are virtually
Helpless until we find a flashlight. Jesus pushes back the darkness and reveals God in all His glory. We should reflect His LIGHT to others.
