Sorry about yesterday

Josue and Estela with Michelle at her wedding. She is Pastor Carlos´s daughter.

Tuesday March 24

I apologize for the update not publishing yesterday I will include it on the end of today´s update. Dottie´s circumstances yesterday was difficult. I also republished the photo because it is special.

There were demonstrations all over Guatemala due to gasoline prices. I imagine most of the world is demonstrating.

I ask you again for the Lord to put into someone´s heart to come and help me with Dottie. The largest need will be in the Fall to winter months. Plenty of time for the Lord to speak to someone´s heart. I keep praying that a college student in physical therapy with a big heart would consider coming here.

One small blessing is that I was able to see the LSU vs. Texas Tech game on TV. That is the first time in 37 years.

Miguel is Quique´s best friend. He left a few years ago but works construction and when he has time he comes and stays the weekends.

“And thou Bethlehem, in are not the least of Judah: for out of thee shall come the land of Judah, me a GOVENOR that shall rule my people of Israel.” Matthew 2:6. The world that Jesus was born into knew much about governors. These officials were sent by Rome to rule over the provinces into which the government had divided its empire. Three Rome governors are mentioned in the New Testament. Cyrenuis in Luke 2:2; Pontius in Matthew 27:2 and Felix in Acts 23:24. They were all temporary, but Jesus’s rule is forever.

Monday March 23

Dottie had the absolute worst night and could not move at all with her arms and legs were filled with pain. Please continue to pray because that is the only medicine. She could not go to church which she loves to do. Adela had to stay with her during the preaching, so Esvin translated for me.

We had a Guatemalan church come over the weekend and they had Bible classes and then a water fight. The weather was so cold and I shuddered just watching. But it is wonderful how many churches send groups to minister spiritually to our children as well as play with them. The children can feel the love of God in these experiences.

Sunday was parent visitation, so they were in the church service. It is such an opportunity to preach the Word to the parents. We have seen salvations a few times but also, they have the Word placed into the hearts. That is something that you can never escape so I expect it will become alive in them in the future.

My geriatric physician had a face call with me & he changed some of my medication as I just have not felt good lately. I am sure it is stress related

I want to continue with Jesus is the GOOD SHEPHERD as found in John 10:1-16 Jesus knows His sheep; He guides them by showing the way (John 10:3-4). He does not drive His sheep;  He is the door of the sheepfold that offers shelter and safety for His sheep. (John 10:9).  Unlike hired shepherds, He is willing to put His own life on the line for His sheep. (John 10:11-12). He loves His sheep. (John 10:13-15). Other names of God the Son as Shepherd are I Peter 5:4 (Chief Shepherd.)  Door of the sheep. (John 10:7) Great Shepherd of the sheep. (Hebrews 13:20). And Shepherd of your souls. (I Peter 2:25)
