Here we go! The installation of the three playgrounds began Thursday morning.

I was asked the other day what is the most incredible thing that you remember from all the years you were in Guatemala. It was easy to remember. I will not give you names though some of you will know who the teenager was. We had nearly 500 children and I would teach by groups nightly. Younger boys and then younger girls and then teen boys followed by teen girls.

There were over 100 teenage girls, and I was speaking about dating and marriage when I made this statement. “The greatest gift that you can give your husband is your virginity.” I realized I was looking at over 100 girls who had been sexually abused and I felt terrible.

I tried to go forward but one girl, age 14, jumped to her feet and shouted “Papi what if you are not a virgin. Will God ever love you and will a man ever want you? I was shocked and dumfounded, and I stood silently without an answer. But this teenager stood up and pointed at the girl and said “Don´t you say that you are not a virgin because you did not give anything away:”

I was stunned in awe at that wisdom. Then it was as though God told me to get out of the way. Girls all over the room began to cry and many went to their needs. I felt God move me aside and huge angels came forth and washed the girls in the blood of Jesus. It was life changing for me and a night I will never forget.

The girl who asked the question is married to a wonderful Christian man and they live with their children 5 miles from Casa. I will forever remember that night and how it changed the way I have ministered to the girls from that nigh on. One Christmas season this huge truck pulled in and it was filled will hundreds of dollars of food. It was her and when I said that it was so expensive for her to give us that food. She replied “Papi I only wanted to give to the children what God gave and gives unto me.” Only God!!!

The girl who stood up has an incredible life and ministry. My life changed that night and my understanding of Who God is positioned me to continue these 37 years in Guatemala. I have no idea how many girls were saved and cleansed over the years but is in the many hundreds. And it began with a young teacher that heard directly from God.

I want to mention again our need for help in my house with Dottie and Michelle. Adela is so tired and we need to get her some help. Would you make it a matter of prayer.

Another name for Jesus is FOREUNNER as found in Hebrews 6:20, “Whither the FORERUNNER is for us entreated, even Jesus, made a high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.”

A forerunner is an advanced agent, the lead person on a team. He goes ahead on a scouting mission to spot possible dangers and to prepare the way for others. Examples would the twelve spies who were sent into Canaan by Moses. (Numbers 13:1-3) Also John the Baptist was the forerunner for Jesus. (Mark 1:1-8)

But, of course, the ultimate FORERUNNER was Jesus. (Acts 1:9) After His death He returned to His Father in heaven to prepare a place for us.
