My Dad

My father was so important in my life. And at nearly 83 I still think of him often.

This photograph of my dad was taken after he broke his back and could not work in the oil fields anymore. This was years after the accident, and he was able to walk although with pain. He was the radio man for the local and state police.

We asked for a physician who works with the elderly to come give me a physical Saturday. I just have not felt very well since I have so much trouble sleeping. I am not worried or stressed so there must be another reason. Pray that he can diagnose my problem and I can get 8 hours of sleep.

Adela is the one who contacted him because she worries about me. She is very special. Adela found a geriatrician who will come Saturday and give me an examination. I do not feel sick, but I do not sleep so I am tired and useless during the day.

DOOR OF THE SHEEP is the next title for Jesus. This is one of several “I AM” statements made by Jesus in the Gospel of John. John 10:9 says, “I am the door: by me if any man enters in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” A door is an opening or entryway into a building or a shelter.

By affirming He was the DOOR OF THE SHEEPHOLD Jesus made it clear that He was the only way to salvation and eternal life. In Matthew 7:13-14 He speaks of a broad gate representing the world and a narrow gate which represents Jesus Word and teachings.
