Goodbye 2025

Oscar and his bride Tatiana.
New year´s day is a wonderful time for families and a time of reflection as to what 2025 was like and what we desire for 2026 to be.
As we finish the old year, I want to say how grateful Dottie and I are for your continued financial help for Casa to continue to feed, clothe, educate, provide medical service but mostly I want to thank you for your prayers for the salvation of the children, their health and your love for them.
The old saying “It takes a city” does not fit because for Casa it has taken nations. So many churches and missionary groups have allowed us to see many children, saved, educated, married and leaders.
2025 was the second most difficult year I have spent in Guatemala, but I believe we have fought the good fight, and God will give us more children and provide for all their needs in 2026.
Adela gave Dottie pair of torn pants and needle and thread and Dottie was able to stitch it correctly. This is a very good sign.
Carolyn, a nurse, arrives today and will spend 3 months here to see if she can work with Dottie.
Proverbs 27:1 “The Lord is my LIGHT and my salvation; whom shall I fear’? The Lord is the strength pf my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” When God created the world the first thing He brought into being was light. (see Genesis 1:3-5).
His glory or presence is often compared to light. He led the people through the wilderness during the Exodus with the light from a pillar of fire. He still guides us with His light. He gives us wisdom and insight to help us make good decisions. He lights up our lives constantly with His love and grace.
