Yesterday I preached on Teacher and Soldier and am preparing for this coming Sunday about Christians as athletes.

Mark´s team toured the property after church and then had consecutive field games with Vencedores, Esperanza, Donellas and Buen Pastor until 4pm. This was followed by board games and snacks with Transition from 6:30 until 8pm.

Several young people came to Bible and soon after we started services a vehicle sheared a large electrical pole and the traffic was stopped for hours.

Another name for Jesus is DAY STAR found in II Peter 1:19. “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto  a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arises in your heart.”

Daystar symbolizes hope and a new beginning. The term is used to describe Satan´s fall in Isaiah 14:12 but it is also used to as a title for Jesus in Revelation 22:16 and the coming light of Jesus within a believer. It symbolizes the hope of Christ and the illuminating truth of Christ´s prophetic word. The rising of the morning star signals the end of darkness and the start of a new day, symbolizing a new era of salvation and hope.
