New Children

Moses and the 10 Commandments
We were blessed today to receive 5 new children ages 4, 5, 7, 12 and 19 months. They are 4 girls and 1 boy.
It just seems like with age the years seem to mover quicker. At 82 I contemplate where have the years gone? I have never mentioned Mitch to you. He is a retired American Airline pilot who comes to Casa multiple times a year and just ministers the love of God to our children especially the boys. He has proven to be a godly illustration of what a Godly man should be. Mitch is retired and is an example of using your retirement years to minster to others.
Retirement is not going on multiple trips, watching hours of TV or any such thing. What wisdom can be shared by folks who have lived their lives for Christ.
We love it when the children in the dorms come as a group to pray for Dottie.
Elizabeth Elliot wrote, “You either believe God knows what He is doing, or you believe He does not. You either believe He is worth trusting or you say He is not.” I have been meditating on that.
Another name for Jesus is found in John 10:10. “The thief comes not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come that you can have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” He is “ABUNDANT LIFE”. This concept of abundant life is not about earthly riches, but a spiritually full, joyful, purposeful and eternal life given by Christ, contrasting with the destructive intention of the “thief”, or Satan.
Believers receive this quality of life through faith in Jesus Christ, involving the pursuit of spiritual growth and obedience to God´s Word, which leads to a more meaningful existence on earth and the promise of eternal life.
Abundant life is not a promise of earthly riches nor is it a life without hardship. Abundant life is Spiritual fullness which means fullness of joy, strength, and peace for our spirit and soul.
