Someone is waiting

Jacobo and Leticia

Sunday, I preached on “Moses, my servant is dead.” God then tells Joshua to be courageous. He goes on to say that to Joshua that he is to not be afraid but to be courageous.

For thousands of years people have been born and lived their lives and died. God always has someone waiting. One day God will say, “Mike, my servant has died” and He will speak directly to someone to fill my shoes.

All through history great men and women have died by God always had someone waiting. Moses dies but Joshua was ready. FDR died but Truman was ready. When the word comes, “Mike, my servant is dead” God will not miss a beat. He already has that person in mind.

We had a wonderful Sunday with young people coming to visit and even stay for lunch.

While Dottie was having therapy I took a couple of hours to visit with my son Tony.

In Mark 6:3 the people asked the question, “Isn´t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon?” “Aren´t His sister here with us? ¨ Here we see that Jesus was a carpenter, and He had a family. His father, Joseph, was dead by this time. Jesus had a large family and that is another reason He could identify with humanity.

Of course, as a carpenter, He constructed many items. But I make this simple. Jesus saw me and I was as an unfinished. He is my Creator. He took my life which was nothing but a slab of flesh and bone and He made me into what He saw beyond the natural. He makes us into what we need to be if we sit still while He works on us. A carpenter can look at a stack of lumber or a slab of marble and see something that we cannot even see in ourselves.
