Dottie and Ice Cream

Tower of Babel
I gave Dottie some ice cream and I wrapped her in a giant towel, and she still got ice cream all over her sweater. But she had so much fun eating it I could not get upset. She loves ice cream and that makes me happy.
The rains continue to come down in buckets, so the children must stay inside too much.
Makko had Bible study with 4- to 9-year-olds and can keep those two age groups able to stay on track.
My favorite Old Testament book is Joshua. I cannot imagine how he felt when God said Moses was dead. God told Joshua to be strong and to have courage. All those decades had passed with Moses in charge and essentially the only one hearing God´s voice.
Of course I ponder my circumstances, and I pray that when God says, “Mike, my servant is dead” God will have the next man to stand in my shoes. Make it a matter of prayer.
Hebrews 12:2 focuses on Jesus as the AUTHOR AND PERFECTER OF FAITH. This verse tells me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. He endured the cross and its shame for the joy of accomplishing God´s plan and bringing about my salvation.
God is telling us to use this as an example in our own struggles and persevere until the end. Christ is shown in this verse that He began and will complete my faith. Jesus willingly endured the suffering and shame of crucifixion. Hardship is part of the Christian life.
