His Mercy Endures Forever

Sunday, I preached on His Mercy Endures Forever using Lamentations 3:23 as my Biblical foundation. This scripture says, “His Mercy is New Every Morning”. We can never exhaust His mercy.

The disciples asked Jesus how many times we should forgive, and He answered 70 times 7 when they thought 7 times were enough. Forgiveness and mercy are the same thing. If you need more scripture to see how much God believes in mercy turn to Psalm 136:1-26 where all 26 verses end with “For His mercy endures forever.”

We will be moving Alex out of dialysis into a regular dorm. Mentally and socially, he needs this interaction with the older boys.

Mario´s car was hit from behind. Our insurance took care of it and thankfully he was not hurt.

Our grandson, Dawson, and his wife Victoria are having a baby boy whom they will name Silas.

Do you understand that we would be intolerable if we had never suffered? God has burned in my heart that I am to be a man of mercy. I am to pour my heart out in mercy to those who criticize me or hate me. I refuse to hate! I refuse to try and get even! I will pray my enemies will be saved and God will show them mercy.

EL CHAY is another name for God and is translated the LIVING GOD. I was raised in a church that was surrounded by lifeless statues, and I even prayed to them. This title for God sets Him apart from the false gods of the surrounding nations.

Unlike idols of stone and wood made by human hands, the Living God is Himself Maker of heaven and earth. He alone is the source of our lives. We live because He lives. Jeremiah 10:14 says “that every goldsmith is shamed by his idols. His images are a fraud; they have no breath in them.” A living God hears our ´prayers and sees our needs.
