My story #4

Jim took a second group of teens to the concert at Fraternidad Christiana.

A team from Virginia will be arriving at 1am Sunday morning.

The Oklahoma team took Esperanza down to lunch and dinner at a mall.

George, good friend, dropped by. His daughter will stay for 2 weeks.

The children huddled around Rabbi Joe as he shared the Word.

When I was 15 years old my father had an offshore accident where he had broken his back in two places. He would never be the same again. I have had two back surgeries and I cannot begin to feel what my father experienced when he broke his back before they had the knowledge that they have today and the pain management available today.

I loved my dad so chose to attend college close to home where I met Dottie. But she would not date me. She said that I was not a Christian and that really offended me because I was a regular church goer. I learned that your denomination does not save you. It is a personal walk with God. It is accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

One day Dottie asked if I would drive her home and I was pleased to do so because I thought it would cause her to date me seriously. It did nit turn out the way I expected. Her father took me a breakfast but did not witness to me. He then took me to a small clinic where he went to each room to pray for the sick. Finally he took me to a couple’s house just to visit and that is when God worked a miracle.
