Kendra with Dottie
The Oklahoma team got right to work when they arrived. They had the first discipleship meeting with the older boys and girls. They will be ministering the Word each day to that age group.
The West Virginia group arrived in the evening. So, after the Sunday service I gave my testimony to both teams.
Charlie, a young man who left Casa years ago has a ministry and came by with the team from Alabama as Charlie and them built a home for a poor family the last 2 weeks. I believe they are going to build a second one.
Kendra who was here for months a few years ago came by just to pray and sing with Dottie. When Dottie“s mother had dementia, and we visited her in the nursing home. She would not communicate. Dottie started singing old hymns and soon her mother was singing with her.
Jerry and Adam and families came to visit Dottie and me. It is always a treat. Dottie loves Adam as though he were her son. His years here were so special.
Romans 12:10 says that we are to prefer one another. This is the 6th responsibility we have to fellow Christians. When I got saved, I was no longer number one in my life. This requires a humble attitude. Christians are called to serve not to be served.
We live in a world where there is very little respect for others that are different from ourselves. In fact, there is little respect for anyone except the immediate circle. Even families and church members are unkind often. Respect for others is a forgotten truth. Jesus washed the feet of His disciples and we barely will open the door for someone.
