The Purpose for the Bible

Marlin with us.
Loren and Megan attended services and spent a few minutes with Dottie then began cleaning teeth until they had to leave. It was a short visit, but it was a blessed visit also.
Dottie has not felt well enough to attend worship services the last 3 weeks. She just gets too tired. She loves the Word so I try to find good preachers on TV that she can watch.
A number of children came forward for salvation and what made it special was the number of older teenage boys who asked Jesus into their heart.
I began preaching on the purposes of the Bible that I have been putting on my updates.I taught 7 of them today. The main thing following salvation is that we get our hearts into the Bible and allow God to love us with His Word.
The 13th purpose for having a Bible is to grow in faith. 1 Peter 2:2 says, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby.” The very first thing any of us eat when we are born is milk. A good appetite for milk will cause a baby to grow faster and healthier.
When I worked for the state health department, I saw many children who did not receive a good diet even babies who had no milk. It does not affect you only physically but mentally also.
