Hope

The children enjoyed being out of school for Labor Day but the staff enjoyed it most.

Dottie just loves the women´s Bible study on Thursday afternoons and the women make her feel so special. I am not sure how much she understands. She says very little but feels so loved.

Heidy did move to San Cristobal where she is house sitting for a missionary family on leave. We are praying with her that she will be able to take in more oxygen so she can remain in Guatemala and continue teaching music at Casa. The problem she has already run into is the unbelievable traffic getting up the mountain to our home.

We had a very good time with Andreas and Estella as they brought us coconuts and mangos from their property.

The 11th purpose of the Bible is to offer hope. Psalm 119:49 says “Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou have caused me hope.” When you and I realize that the people in the Bible are just like us it gives us tremendous hope because what He did for others He will do for me.

The Bible makes it clear that all the people in the Bible had the same tests and problems that we have today. God says the big three are Faith, Hope and Love. We need to master those three. Hope is the confident expectation of God´s goodness and love for us.
