Guatemala has basically two seasons – the dry season and the rainy season. We have officially entered the rainy season. Oh, we still see some sunshine, but most afternoons usually around 5:30 or so the rain comes down…and it can come down hard! We have had (as we called them when I was growing up) some major gulley washers. But then it will stop for a bit or just be a drizzle. Then at bedtime we might get another downpour, but I don’t mind because I love the sound of the rain on the tin roof.
We got a new boy yesterday! His name is Luis Fernando, and he is 13. He will go into 1 Basico at school next week after exams are over, but for now he gets to just settle in and get used to the routine. Please pray that he makes a smooth adjustment, and wise decisions about who to hang out with. 🙂
God bless!
