The team from Fayetteville is there and they brought 30 bags from Debbie to us in Guatemala. That is how we get Christmas gifts, sponsor gifts, medicines, etc. If you are willing to carry a bag for us when you come visit Casa please call Debbie at 337 855 1286.

The board meeting ended a little after 1pm and we drove to Lafayette for tomorrow’s services. The board meeting was at Mark & Gina’s “camp” on the river and Gina was such a gracious host. This was such a wonderful meeting as the main topic concerned the transition (when it comes) from Dottie and me to those who will replace us. Also we had a wonderful report on the finances. Two years ago we were in dire straits financially and now we actually have 7 months in reserve which would be needed in an emergency or in the case of my death.

Colossians 4:12 “Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”

I have become enamored with Epaphras but I suppose for some of you this has gotten tedious so we will conclude today. I was aware after reading what Paul says about Epaphras that if I do not pray over my ministry and those involved in it I am being conceited for I am thinking that I can indeed do it without God’s help. Remember what I said the other day. I cannot do it alone. I do not want to do it alone. God does not wish for me to do it alone. I need Epaphrases in my life.

Epaphras prayed that the people would be mature and complete in God’s will for their lives.  We must be mature enough to seek and understand God’s will for our lives and then strong enough to stand in that will.

The board laid hands on me and prayed for my health as well as other things and as they did Epaphras came to mind. To have a board of such godly men and women, Mark, Malcolm, JW, Melvin, Wes, Debbie and Dottie praying for me is the strength that keeps me going. Your prayers are so needed by Dottie and me.

Be an Epaphras!
